Abstract


The basic idea behind the concept here is to address the congestion control multicast routing problem in wireless ad hoc networks through the medium access control (MAC) layer. This work mainly focuses on cluster-based routing protocol (CBRP) and its comparative analysis with two other on demand routing protocols Adhoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) which do not use cluster based mechanism for routing. The simulation results obtained in this scheme shows a good performance in the aspects such as fairness with TCP, robustness against misbehaving receivers, and traffic stability.
